Overview
The HealthHub search experience is designed to be as intuitive for your users as possible, using organizational best practices and the latest advancements in search technology.
How AI-enhanced search works
HealthHub’s powerful search enhanced by Artificial Intelligence ("AI") can understand the human context behind searches and return more relevant results, more reliably. AI-enhanced search relies on a combination of vector search and an embedding model to measure the intended meaning of a user’s search. HealthHub then returns search results that match the meaning, which is more helpful to your users than a direct word match.
Exact terms for procedures, anatomy, or illnesses are not needed in order to get helpful answers. AI enhanced search can accurately interpret:
- direct questions, like “what can I do about a stuffy nose” or “what procedure checks my iron levels”
- imperfect/phonetic spelling or typos, like “numonia” or “dibetes”
HealthHub does not use the AI-enhanced search function to create new content, nor return an AI-generated summary to the user. AI-enhanced search is only used to interpret the underlying meaning of a search term and return helpful results from the existing content library. All HealthHub articles routinely undergo triple medical review to maintain high accuracy and quality. Read more about our quality standards in our Get started with HealthHub article.
